Death Authorized Copy
An authorized, certified copy of a death record that can typically be used to obtain death benefits, claim insurance proceeds, notify social security and other legal purposes. Death Certificates are available for events that occurred in Humboldt County from 1919 to present.
Death Informational Copy
If you are not eligible to receive an authorized copy of the death record, you will receive a certified informational copy with the words "INFORMATIONAL, NOT A VALID DOCUMENT TO ESTABLISH IDENTITY" imprinted across the face of the copy.
